The good news - Alaska has plenty of salmon! Are you desperate for Salmon fly-fishing? Within Alaska you can find some hiddenunexploited fly-fishing places with the excellent conditions, far from civilization and they have great potential for fly-fishing both for experts and novice.
So where to dig? Kenai River - very nice place especially below Skilak lake, imagine yourself sitting in a boat floating up river and fish back down with your favorite fly-fishing rod at your hand, some people prefer to spend the whole day in a boat and some prefer to find the quite place with goodpotential for salmon fly-fishing and stay there.
What else? Kasilof River, Klawock River and Wadefishing Rivers also can be a good choice for Alaska fly-fishing vacation.

Lets go on. What to expect from fly-fishing in Alaska?Strong question, really results may vary from year to year, from place to place and from people to people however with one good place such as Kenai River and some real-world training daily catches can be 10- 20 Salmons - not bad for start:)
And it is not uncommon during the summer period. I also have heard about some outstanding results which is really amazing - 31 Silver Salmons fromthe first day, 36 Silver Salmons from day 2 !!! Seems impossible? But they are just real facts. And the people who get this results was not some kind of 'hidden gurus or veterans' just ordinary anglers with big dreams:)
